Massage Therapist
Our volunteer massage therapists are absolutely vital to our organization. We would not be able
to accomplish our mission without their compassion and commitment to helping cancer survivors
heal. Volunteering with re-org is an opportunity to learn, share, heal, empower and grow. We are committed
to pairing therapists with clients who share similar objectives to create the most effective and meaningful
experience possible.
To volunteer with re-org, you must be a massage therapist licensed in the state of Colorado, carry your own
liability insurance and pass a background check. The time commitment is two sessions per month for six
months. All sessions are conducted in your own work space, and scheduling is done directly between you and
your re-org client. You must complete a three-hour orientation and training session prior to working with your
first client.
Board Member
The Board of Directors is responsible for oversight of the organization’s activities. Specific duties include
serving as an ambassador on behalf of re-org, contributing time toward the successful execution of
re-org events, establishing policies and objectives, supporting and reviewing the performance of staff,
contributing a personally significant monetary gift each year, and ensuring legal and ethical integrity. Board
meetings are held quarterly and each board member is expected to serve on at least one subcommittee. The
time commitment varies throughout the year, but on average is 1-2 hours per month.
Committee Member
The Board of Directors has two subcommittees; the Outreach Committee and the Fundraising Committee.
Community members are welcome to serve on either of these committees without being voting members of
the Board of Directors. The Outreach Committee is responsible for building relationships and promoting
program activities to potential clients, volunteers, and community partners. The Fundraising Committee is
responsible for developing the annual fundraising plan and for promoting and executing fundraising events
throughout the year. Committee meetings are held about once per month. The time commitment varies
throughout the year, but on average is 1-2 hours per month.
Specific Projects or Events
From time to time, re-org enlists the participation of community members to represent re-org at community
events. This can include tabling at events and distributing information about our services. We also use
volunteers at our special events to help with promoting the event and the successful execution of the event
itself.
If you have a specific skill that you would like to put to use with re-org, let us know. We welcome your time
and talent in any way you wish to share it with us.
